Tina & I went to Cloverfield tonight. I thought it was really good and would definitely recommend it. We’ll go in-depth on the next episode of the Splattercast, so keep an eye out for that.

Dead Politics episode #5 has been posted. Get it here.

Shout-outs to our pals who came over last night for my birthday. We drank a lot of beer and hung out into the wee hours, having some of those deeply philosophical discussions that always crop up when copious amounts of booze are being imbibed.
I had a blast, guys; thanks for coming!

Episode #4 has just been posted, so get it while it’s hot!
Via Destructoid, this homebrew game called I Wanna Be The Guy looks amazing. It’s an insanely difficult mash-up of all our favorite old-school video games. I won’t ever attempt to actually beat it, because I just don’t need that sort of stress in my life, but I will check out the run-through of the game available on the dude’s YouTube page.
Happy birthday to me. Tina’s invited people over tomorrow evening for cupcakes. I’m more of a “let’s not make a fuss” type of guy, but Tina wanted to do something.
If you know where I live, you’re more than welcome to drop by and hang out tomorrow ![]()

Check out our up-and-coming political podcast, Dead Politics. Episode #3 has just been posted. It’s chock full of commentary on Obama’s big win in the Iowa caucus.
Shout-outs to Megs, here’s a funny list of the top 8 most likely celeb deaths of 2008.
I’d put my money on Imus & Winehouse - something old, something new!
We’ve started putting up some “best of 2007″ lists over at Dead Lantern. Here’s my list and Mat’s list. Hopefully Steve, Deejay and Brady might put up some of their favorites as well.
What were your favorite flicks of 2007?

I just watched The Condemned, a straight-to-DVD action flick starring Steve Austin. You might dismiss it since it comes from WWE films, but I thought it was a fun watch. Sort of an updated version of The Running Man or Surviving the Game. There are a couple really tedious subplots but nothing too damaging.
