Steve’s cat, Monkey (yes, he named his cat Monkey), helped me catch the mouse tonight. Good kitty! She got the mouse by its tail a couple times and we managed to slam a box over it, then I took him to the edge of the block and threw him out. Hopefully it was just the one little dude.

My bro Nate said he saw a mouse in our basement today.

Great.

Maybe Steve’s cat will start earning her keep and do some mousing, although she’s got no front claws. I got some non-kill traps and set them in the basement. I’ve looked around and I haven’t seen any droppings or anything. Hopefully we’ll catch the little bugger.

I’m the last dude (well, me and Mat) in my circle of friends without an Xbox 360. Everyone’s getting all excited for the new zombie co-op shooter Left 4 Dead and I don’t wanna miss out so I’m finally getting a 360. I eBayed some older stuff to finance the purchase. I was going to go out on “Black Friday” for a good deal at maybe Circuit City or Best Buy, but I ended up buying one from some dude on eBay. Hope it gets here soon… and isn’t DOA or anything

Genny’s been disconnected from her IV and “potty tube” and if she does well today we can go home!

…now it’s on to recovery. Hopefully it will only be a couple more days in the hospital. It’s rough on a 2-year-old to be stuck in a strange bed. Thanks everyone for the well-wishes! We have really great friends and family.

Genny will be back to big pimpin’ soon!

We’re taking Genny to Omaha early tomorrow morning for a surgery. She’s going to have to stay in the hospital for 3-4 days, which I’m sure will be tough on her since she loves to run around and play at home. We pray that everything goes smoothly and we appreciate all the well-wishing from our friends & families.
