June 22nd, 2008 by Jeff…I haven’t updated my blog in a long time. Too much crap going on. My weekends are totally down the toilet thanks to Outpost Doom . It’s been fun, but it’s a lot of work. I’ve been focusing on putting together “Anti-Mat” MTG decks, so maybe I’ll start posting about that… trouble is, if I post my decks, he’ll know what I’m up to!

That’s one of the awesome parts of MTG, the “meta-game.” Trying to figure out what kind of deck your opponent has before you even sit down is like a game unto itself.
It’s especially pronounced in the case of our little group, where you know for certain that Mat will always be playing white, and you know a couple certain cards he uses with a lot of success… so you try to counter those, and he tries to counter your counter, etc.
It’s very nerdy, but very fun.
