It works well, even with modest hardware and it's so much nicer than having to deal with Windows all the time for it. For Windows (XP/Vista) I strongly recommend Deepburner. It's the closest thing to Nero, when it was good, or k3b that I've found for current Windows. I just use a VMWare or a QEMU/KVM VM to run Fireworks/Photoshop with.
