December 11th, 2007 by JeffLots of crummy weather going on right now here in Lincoln. I had to hack through a thick layer of ice coating my car so I could get to work. I’m definitely hoping to get a house with a garage soon.

Hey, just so you don’t think you are missing any kind of pleasant weather in Jeff City, not only do we have ice, we also have sporadic power outages and tree limbs breaking from the weight of the ice all over town. Some of your former co-workers have been without power since Sunday morning. Some have holes in the roof from falling trees. I feel lucky that I was only out for 24 hours. Fortunately, the roadways are clear so far, but who knows what the next 24 hours will bring!

Sorry to hear that! I can’t imagine how stressful it would be to have severe damage to your house in the middle of this freezing cold weather!
It’s funny, I’ve been telling all my friends up here that I thought the weather was a little bit milder back in MO

finally rode by bike very slowly to work in this stuff.
I wonder how many people broke their windows scraping?

I thought I might break mine, I had to really wail on it to get some of the ice off.
Good luck biking in the icy weather - may you not wipe out all season!
